Kimberley details: birds, boabs and cake

A collection of the smaller encounters around the Kimberley, with a few very large things mixed in.
The agile wallabies had been living up to their name. We watched them clear heights that had made us wonder whether they were stuck, and quickly revised our estimate of their options. There were lilies to admire, an enormous exposed beehive and Wyndham's giant crocodile sculpture, which was considerably easier to photograph than the living versions.
Shan also baked a cake in camp. We topped it with the bush passionfruit we had found, which had a gentle vanilla-like flavour. A very satisfying travelling-camp achievement.
Birdlife kept drawing us back to the water. There were long-legged birds in the shallows and a sacred kingfisher perched where we could appreciate its blue plumage properly. Saltwater crocodiles were part of that landscape too, including one particularly large individual.
A recently burnt log supplied a few coals for marshmallows during a roadside stop. The photos finish with a boab against the sunset: one of the shapes we kept coming back to in this part of the country.
