Winter finds us on the Atherton Tablelands

After following the sunshine across the Kimberley and the Northern Territory, winter finally caught up with us on the Atherton Tablelands.
Our first rain in months came with a chilly morning and mist hanging around the trees. The damp air softened everything: reflections, branches and the outline of the camper.
Someone at the campsite was practising a new didgeridoo, adding a low, moody sound to the morning. It fitted the weather beautifully.
A change of atmosphere after so much dry country and warm light. The photos keep the quiet, misty version of camp before the day properly got going.
