The trip continues (the blog catches up)

At the end of our first (and last) post I wrote, “I'm sure we'll work things out in the fullness of time.”

Apparently I left “the fullness of time” open to fairly generous interpretation.

The good news is we're still travelling around Australia! We've just been considerably better at the travelling part than the writing-about-it part. Instagram has seen a bit more activity, while this blog has patiently remained at the beginning of the trip.

Since then we've explored the Eyre Peninsula, crossed the Nullarbor, and regrouped in Perth for a few weeks. From there we've visited Kalbarri and Ningaloo, explored the Kimberley, travelled through the Northern Territory, and spent time in Cape York and the rainforests of Far North Queensland. There have been national parks, swimming holes, gorges, beaches, reefs, and plenty of places where staying another night seemed a much better idea than moving on.

There have also been rather a lot of photos (taking another one remains considerably easier than sorting the previous thousand), videos, drone flights, even footage from an almost vintage underwater camera to go through.

We're finally, hopefully, getting ourselves organised to share more of it here. Some posts will catch up on places we've already visited, others will be about whatever we've been up to more recently. Expect a slightly wandering chronology, which seems appropriate for a slightly wandering trip.

More posts are coming. I won't nominate a posting schedule just yet, given the fairly compelling evidence above, but we're looking forward to getting a few more tracks onto ShandyTracks.
