Red dust and river light at Onslow

The camper among the riverbank trees.

We reached red-dust country, and the Ashburton River supplied a wonderful evening to go with it.

Our free camp near Onslow had trees along the water and plenty of space to watch the light change. As the sun dropped, the trunks and branches picked up a warm glow, then became silhouettes against the reflections.

There was little need to go looking for an activity. Sitting by the river was quite enough, with the colour moving from the trees to the water and then into the sky.

A good camp, a quiet river and another sunset that deserved more than one photo.
