Mount Lofty, with a koala in the car park
Shan's koala-spotting skills are coming along very nicely. At Mount Lofty Summit she found one asleep in a tree in the car park, while the long-weekend crowd was heading off to look at Adelaide.
The view was worth seeing, but so was the quietly occupied branch above us. The koala had found a comfortable position and appeared quite content to leave the sightseeing to everyone else.
A reminder to check the trees on the way to the lookout. Sometimes the wildlife highlight is waiting before you have even left the car park.
